Tonight is President Joe Biden’s first State of the Union address and it’s been a long time coming. President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn into an office, that at the time, was a crime scene. No peaceful transfer of power. Not to mention a Republican Party that has departed from reality. Biden faced crime scene tape and a violent effort to overthrow democracy, similar to what he faces tonight.
“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” we cannot allow all of the incredible strides that the Biden Harris administration has accomplished to be dismissed, hidden, or overshadowed. We would not be heading out of the pandemic, standing with Ukraine, creating jobs, seeing Ketanji Brown Jackson nominated to the Supreme Court, have the January 6 Committee, or have allies in the world, without the Biden Harris administration.
Sure, the filibuster remains, along with lots of other malarkey, but Biden and Harris are actually serving the American people. They are honoring their oath to America. So, to address President Biden directly (who along with billions of people will not read this) you got this Joe, just be yourself. As Bob Saget said, “Follow your voice you gotta follow your voice.”
