Median Family Wealth Still Reflects Massive Inequality

The wealth gap in America continues to reflect massive inequality:

White: $171,000

Black: $17,409

*According to the Urban Institute, 2016

Republicans have historically pontificated, that any alleged wealth gap, is the result of personal responsibility, hard work, and of course Reaganomics. 500 years of slavery, systematic racism, mass incarceration, established income inequality, lack of economic mobility, employment discrimination, educational disparities, and housing discrimination, do not factor into the American dream.

“That’s why they call it the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.” George Carlin

So, we may as well greet each other and say, Namaste. Hate is heavy, be light.
