Congratulations Republicans, The (R) That Follows Your Name Now Officially Stands For Racism

Congress voted to condemn Trump’s racist statements today. The fact is, the current American President is so openly racist, it prompted Congress to actually bring a resolution, to condemn his racism. It is Donald Trump, therefore not surprising. Donald professes (primarily through Twitter) that he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body, however, it’s the racism in his behavior, actions, words and intention that is tangible, with impact and resonance.

The House passed a resolution 240 – 187, condemning current President’s racist remarks, in which he told four women on color, Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilahn Omar, elected to Congress, to go back to the countries they came from. This is racist, full stop. The Congresswomen are all American citizens.

Only 4 Republicans voted to condemn Trump’s racist statements, proving yet again, the Republican Party sides with racism, not righteousness. It’s not the economy stupid, it’s racism. White Americans, who voted for Trump did so for racial ideology, not economics, or tax cuts, they voted for Trump because he gives them license to be racist without contrition. Donald didn’t take over the Oval office to drain the swamp, he brought the swamp with him, and saturated democracy with morass.

Trump does not distance himself from white nationalists, he embraces white nationalists, through his actions, through his hiring practices, which included Steve KKK. Bannon, and through his brown-based immigration policy decisions. Congratulations Republicans, the (R) that follows your name, now officially stands for racist. So, at the next rally, come on out whistling Dixie, your public mask is no longer viable, as it has too many holes, and the light of truth has exposed who you are.
