The 1619 Project

The New York Times Magazine published an all encompassing, valuable, and detailed story on slavery, and its legacy, observing the 400th anniversary of the start of slavery in America, in August of 1619. The collection of essays is titled, The 1619 Project.

And, directly on Christian Caucasian cue, white conservative folk freaked out, just like the time they ripped out part of the Bible given to slaves to suppress any ideas about freedom. White folks tried controlling the teachings of Jesus Christ to benefit them, now Trump is trying to control the teachings of Dow Jones to benefit him. Which prophet, will profit? God only knows. However, when asked for comment, Buddha stated, “Three things cannot be long hidden, the sun, the moon, and the truth.”
