The January 6 hearings are revelatory, even though it is obvious Trump wasn’t keen on relinquishing the power of the presidency, as his former lawyer, Michael Cohen told the world, Trump won’t leave peacefully. It’s no surprise Trump knew about January 6 because he helped plan it, remember he sent out the invite for “Wild Wednesday” sent out a Save the Date, arranged for buses to bring MAGA supporters to D.C., and was the keynote speaker on January 6 along side Rudy Giuliani, as Mark Meadows, Donald Jr., and Ivanka stood nearby. January 6 was not an organic gathering , it was a planned coup.
It’s easy to connect the dots when there are only two: Donald + Coup = D.C. crime.
Trump knew. His “team” knew. He knew his crowd was armed on January 6 and he didn’t care. He didn’t care because the violent crowd, armed with AR15s wasn’t going to hurt him. Donald Trump actively took steps to participate with the armed crowd at the Capitol on January 6. Donald Trump knew his supports were chanting, “Hang Mike Pence,” and the former President said, “Mike deserves it.” Trump knew and he did not care.
Cassidy Hutchinson, former aide to White House ex-chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified today that former President Donald Trump physically assaulted his Secret Service detail when he was told they would not drive him to the Capitol on January 6. Hutchinson testified under oath that Trump grabbed the steering wheel and tried to choke the neck of a member of his Secret Service detail. This secret service detail needs to testify, remember Bill Clinton’s secret service testified, so this secret service member can as well. Otherwise, this is another case of some people being above the law, with the rules changing based on who is in charge.
Cassidy Hutchinson, a young woman in her twenties, stood up and told the truth, despite intimidation and smears. She displayed what is lacking in most of Trump True believers, whom have an insatiable need to appease and protect Donald. Republican members of Congress, Republican members of the Senate, Ivanka, Jared, and Mark Meadows, were involved at various levels in “Wild Wednesday” they knew. They wanted proximity to power and were willing to destroy democracy to get it.
“It was unpatriotic, it was unAmerican, we were watching the Capitol building get defaced over a lie.” Cassidy Hutchinson
