Gloria Steinem was a fierce light in the fight for women’s rights. That fight for equality has intensified. The high court impeded progress, reducing women’s bodies to “things” political powers control. Laws were leveraged to ignore women’s lives…to instead view women as incubators. Hypocrites, hubris, and holy rollers reversed Roe, dimming the path to equality. So, we need the light from all the torches Gloria Steinem lit during her 92 trips around the sun, to shine brighter.
