Donald is not a king in the court of law. The New York criminal justice system worked, it did not wane, it worked, “without fear or favor.” A jury of Donald’s peers served, deliberated, and decided that he is guilty. Keep in mind that a jury member would have been dismissed for flying a pro insurrection flag at their home, unlike the justice on the Supreme Court.
We shall see if the Supreme Court acts as a court of laws, or as a court for a king, with their impending immunity decision to determine if Donald is allowed to do whatever the hell Donald wants to do because he’s immune to everything, including losing elections.
Ironic, that the guy who is a huge NRA supporter cannot own a gun in several parts of the country. Ironic, that the guy who touted law and order is a felon. Ironic, that the guy who stole classified documents from the White House, cannot receive classified briefings as the Republican presidential nominee. Ironic, that the guy who is trying to keep Black people from voting, may not be able to vote himself as a felon. Ironic, that the guy who took out a full page ad demanding that the Central Park Five be thrown in jail after they were found innocent, was found guilty of 34 felon counts. Ironic, that the guy who chanted “ Lock her up,” about Hillary Clinton now faces being locked up. Ironic, that the guy who claimed to have bone spurs to avoid military service and who called those who serve in America’s military suckers, now cannot serve in the military as he is a felon. Alas, none of this is just ironic, it’s epically pathetic and hugely sad.
