Of course Donald Trump called Black people the n-word. This is not revelatory. This is who Donald is. It is reflected in his words, actions, and behavior…it is in his DNA. This “news” is not new. Although, there is apparently “Apprentice” video of his vile word choice, which will make it hard for him to lie and deny. Now, we await the people who will try to rescue his racism, to spin his bigotry into bravado. Those who will point to Black hip-hop artists, writers, and entertainers who have utilized the word n-word, as a shield for Donald’s shameful actions. Who will be in the lineup defending the indefensible? Who is standing ready to be Stephen to Donald’s Calvin Candie? Indeed, this is the true virtue signaling. The eager souls who crave that pat on the head and that pat on the back from Donald.
