Nikki Haley is getting a pass on her support for Donald Trump. Currently, Nikki is on “stand by” for Donald Trump, least we forget, The Proud Boys were also on stand by…so she’s not in good company. But, it seems Nikki is determined to make Donald seem normal. Nikki has said to take the emotion out of it regarding this election. Perhaps she should heed her own advice and take the fear, greed, and need to appease Donald and his supporters out of it, and stand for democracy.
Look, we all make errors in judgement. Sometimes you pick the wrong partner or align with the wrong political party. There is a small window of opportunity for Nikki to step up to the plate and denounce Donald. Time is of the essence. Perhaps Nikki plans to take the same route she did about her horrific, inaccurate, embarrassing stance on slavery and just make a nonchalant joke about it, then hope everybody just forgets.
If Nikki had any courage, she would not still be endorsing Donald. Nikki would instead, stand up to the bully and call him out. Not as a Republican candidate running against him, rather as an American, on the side of democracy. You’re either for democracy or for Donald…thus far Nikki has chosen Donald.
Nikki still fails to accept that you cannot stand with Donald and the country, as Donald is in direct opposition to democracy. Per usual, she’s a Republican trying to have their cake and eat it too. If you want to preserve democracy, you cannot vote for Donald. She continues to willfully ignore the legitimate threat Donald is to America. She ignores the statements from General Kelly, General Milley and the numerous former members of the Trump administration.
Nikki lacks the courage of convention to stand up for democracy, to actually speak out as other Republican women have done, like Liz Chaney and Cassidy Hutchinson who have courage. But, hey, some women have the confidence to stand up for women and stand with women. While some don’t. Some women are capable of holding the door open for women, instead of closing the door after they walk through it.
The hypocrisy of unity that Nikki spoke of at the Republican convention is exasperated only by her platitudes to talk about policy, not people. When you know better, you do better…so, do better Nikki, stop your inane support for Donald. History will remember your actions and your words. You either cast a vote for democracy or for Donald. This election is not about emotion Nikki, it’s about equality…is every American equal or is Donald above US all?
Nikki continually says, talk about policies, don’t degrade people. Okay Nikki, let’s talk about policy because again, The People don’t want Republican policy…abortion, tariffs, getting rid of Obama care, supporting Putin over the people of Ukraine, ignoring climate science, and abandoning America’s Allies, are a few unwanted Republican policy points. Yet, somehow Nikki is getting a pass. America’s democracy is on the line…and Nikki Haley is on stand by for Donald Trump.
