The FBI is investigating racist text messages that Black people across the country are receiving.
The text messages tell Black people they have been selected for slavery and that they should get ready to pick cotton on a plantation.
The texts come as Donald Trump was announced as President.
It happened in Colorado with a 16-year-old receiving racists text messages that addressed him by name.

A statement from the FBI read as follows:
The FBI is aware of the offensive and racist text messages sent to individuals around the country and is in contact with the Justice Department and other federal authorities on the matter.
As always, we encourage members of the public to report threats of physical violence to local law enforcement authorities.
