Nolan Wells. A bright, healthy, young Black teenager, was found dead this summer, after a trip with “friends” to celebrate America’s choice to adopt the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
It’s 2026, and we are still trying to acknowledge the facts of America’s founding. We must continue investigating the roots of America…the origin of our exceptional complex nation.
Acknowledge the hundreds of years of the hateful head start in America for humans of a whiter hue.
Yet, here we are.
Progress made. Progress halted. Progress…progressing.
The state flag of Mississippi only changed a few years ago. Here’s to hoping the Confederate sentiment of that long honored Mississippi state flag does not continue to influence justice.
