America’s racism was an inspiration and guide for Adolf Hitler in establishing Nazi race laws. Denying history is dangerous. Neither slavery, America’s crime against humanity, nor the Holocaust, can be ignored or erased. We cannot condemn one, while condoning another. Atrocity is atrocity.
History has horrific happenings. However, that doesn’t mean we can ignore, dismiss, or pretend like it didn’t happen. Acknowledge, teach, and learn from history.
