GOP Gaslighting

It’s not surprising that America is experiencing gaslighting, at the hands of the current President. From the bots on Facebook to the “useful idiots” in the White House, Americans are enduring machination, blatant lies, and emotional torment, on a regular basis, that has “gradually” increased, who knows what the crescendo holds. Trumputin (the couple name of Trump and Putin, the cozy comrades share the “p“) will employ any distraction to draw attention from the Trumputin, Grand Ole Plot. Denial of reality and facts is not working for the masses, as a growing number of Americans, are over the antics of an increasingly agitated President. Americans are looking past the “irony curtain” to the glaring facts of impeachable actions, truth is prevailing. Trumputin is ramping up the gaslighting, with crafty language, manipulation, and psychological warfare. Like Joseph Cotton says to Ingrid Bergman, in the film, Gaslight, “You’re not going out of your mind. You are slowly and systematically being driven out of your mind.” Division, doubt of democracy, and disillusion is the false Trumputin solution.

gaslight [ˈɡaslīt] verb; manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity. The origin is from the story of Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 play, Gas Light, later adapted into the 1944 film, Gaslight, in which a husband, psychologically manipulates his wife, into believing that she is going insane.
