“Everybody knows what ‘the plant’ is. The plant is short for plantation.” Zeke Brown, Blue Collar, 1978

As the epic normalization of white collar crime continues, and constitutional corruption goes virtually consequence free, auto workers are on strike, demanding the corporate auto giant, General Motors, value people over profits. GM workers are asking for better wages, along with improvements to job security. No movement toward compromise, yet the picket lines apparently inspired corporate powers at GM to deny health care coverage for the families on strike. The last time GM workers went on strike was in 2007, time for a Blue Collar viewing party, the 1978 film is still a must see.

“The American Dream, if you’re rich, you can buy it. If you’re anything else, you’ve got to fight for it.” Blue Collar.
