There’s a hole in my soul.
Boulder, Colorado experienced tragedy today, 10 lives were taken in a violent gun rampage at the Table Mesa King Soopers in Boulder. I remember that store, and when we lived in Boulder, from time to time, I shopped there, just like folks shopped there today, never expecting deadly gun violence to be a possibility, especially in a Boulder grocery store.
Agony, people are in agony, as yet another act of gun violence destroys.
Through all of the joy and pain, bigotry and beauty, I remain grateful for the sweet and savory souls in Boulder who extended compassion instead of indifference, and who displayed grace instead of grandstanding. Boulder, there’s a hole in my soul.
