Stan Lathan directed the 1974 film, Amazing Grace, starring Moms Mabley, Slappy White, Rosalind Cash, Moses Gunn, Stepin Fetchit, Butterfly McQueen, Debbi Morgan, and Demond Wilson. Moms Mabley, plays Grace, a woman who inspires her community, a mayoral candidate, and his wife, to mobilize and vote.
